    With the AGE grant to assist employers taking on Apprentices I have come across some issues that I wondered if anyone else had encountered.

    We have a number of childcare settings, mainly after school clubs and pre-schools, that are wanting to take on an Apprentice but are only open for approx 16 hours a week.

    Is it possible for a learner who completed an NVQ under Train to Gain to be signed up to an Apprenticeship but only complete the technical certificate and Key/Functional Skills? If so how do you record this on the ILR and Maytas?

    I tweeted the Skills Funding Agency about the very same, this is the reply I got:

    Hi Pauline,individuals/volunteers must have a contract of employment with an SME to access workplace training funding up to a first level 2.

    We have a number of learners who were registered and on the ILR for an Employability qualification for the level 1 award. These have been IV'd and found all learners have actually completed enough units/credits for the level 1 certificate. How do we record this?
