Hi all – on reading the Funding Requirement document for 11/12 (paras 32-36), it states that no fees or charges can be made for learning aims defined as adult entitlements, i.e. those learners on JSA, ESA and Level 2 entitlement will not now be charged any costs in relation to examination, registration fees etc.

Thanks for your response. We like the idea of units, but unless our Unit Funding Trial continues next year, we can only offer units to those on eligible benefits (JSA, ESA) under ALR. The courses we offer run for around 10 – 15 weeks and would be 30 glh so fit well [...]

Thats good news – it didn't make sense that it couldn't be done as the whole point of the QCF is to accummulate units/awards/certs etc to form the next level. Thanks for the response.

Under the QCF we deliver various progression awards and certs each one made from different units. Some learners complete more than one award at the same level (but different units) To make up to the certificate this would mean doing 15 credits (the award is 3 credits) Are we able to claim [...]
