What are email notifications, and why do I recieve them?

Members receive email notifications when for example, a member sends you a new message, you are invited to join a group, when a post or a new topic appears to a discussion group you are subscribed to.

How do I subscribe to specific discussion groups or topics?

Members are automatically subscribed to forums when they join a group, and will also receive email notification of their own posts. You can then decide which topics you with to subscribe to/unsubscribe from on a topic by topic basis.

Under the discussion group’s Home tab, you can view your subscription status under the Forum Subscription heading [below the Group Activity], or see whether you are subscribed to a topic just above the topic’s reply box

How do I change my forum subscriptions?

You can either change your subscription inside each topic [above the reply box] or view all your suscriptions by going to the Notification Settings area of your profile/account, under the Settings >> Notifications tabs

How do change site email notifications?

Simply go to the Notification Settings area of your profile/account, under the Settings >> Notifications tabs, and you will see a list of all the notifications set for your account. Change the configurations using the Yes / No buttons and save.
