Do I need to register?
You will need to register in order to contribute to discussions and make full use of the site’s functionality. Some posts are in public discussion groups so you will not need to create an account to read them.
What do I do if I’ve lost my password?
Although your password cannot be retrieved it can be easily reset. If you login with the wrong password, you will be taken to the Log In page. Click on the ‘Lost your password?’ link. Follow the instructions to provide the e-mail address used to create the account, and a new password will be emailed to that email address within 15 minutes.
You will be able to change the password provided next time you log in. Go to My Account [My Account link in the top right hand corner of the page] >> Settings tab >> General section.

I’ve registered but cannot login
First, check your username and password. If you cannot remember your user name or password, follow the procedure for lost passwords. The email you are sent confirms your user name and provides a new password. If you are still unable to login, please email cst@theia.org.uk and the problem will be investigated.
How do I change my password or other user profile settings?
You can edit your profile settings by clicking the My Account link in the top right hand corner of the page. You can change your password under the Settings tab >> General section.
You can edit your profile in your account/profile under the Profile >> Edit Profile tabs. Change your Display Name [this can be different to your login/username] and is how your name will be seen around the site. The Profile information tab allows you to add details about your job, location, stakeholder groups, etc
Under the Settings tab, you can change your Account Email [and change your password] under the General Settings section
How do I show an image (avatar) in my profile?
Add or change your avatar in My Account >> Profile >> Change Avatar tab
Is my personal data secure?
The information authority will only use user data for the purposes of this website. User information is held on a secure server and the data will not be shared with any other organisations other than the information authority. Users have the option to sign up to mailing lists. If you opt to receive these emails then only the information authority will email you. User information will be used only to provide you with email updates on the topics you have requested. If you respond online to a consultation exercise your data will only be used to facilitate the analysis of responses.
