    Where can I find the numeric value which the Programme Weighting Factor on the LAD corresponds to?

    Hi Cyrus,

    Yes it's interesting that these figures have not been published by the SFA yet and they are not in the recently published TTG and Apprenticeship guides.

    However, they are in the LIS and this is what they are (in LIS18.01)

    A 1
    B 1.12
    C 1.3
    D 1.6
    E 1.72
    F 1.4
    H 1.2
    J 1.25
    K 1.5
    L 1.15

    (Thanks to Rich Eaton at New College Nottingham for extracting these)

    I also see in the YPLA Funding Rates and Formula v2.2 that they have published the PWFs which are the same for A to F and then they have rate G 1.92 for (Specialist resources). At least the two agencies haven't assigned different rates to the same letters.

    Cyrus,

    For 09/10 the rates are:

    A = 1
    B = 1.12
    C = 1.3
    D = 1.6
    E = 1.72
    F = 1.4
    G = 1.92
    J = 1.25
    K = 1.5
    L = 1.2

    They will change for the next academic year, as detailed in the SFA updates that have come out over the last few months.

    Paul.

    Try http://www.ypla.gov.uk/aboutus/ourwork/guidance/funding/ and click on the heading Rates and Formula that should get you the YPLA version.

    http://skillsfundingagency.bis.gov.uk/providers/programmes/alr/ is the SFA one and is worse than useless because it goes back to the LSC's 2008 document which you can get from the YPLA. It's like a devil's two step.

    I see people have posted the actual numbers but I think the source documents are more useful.

    One of the problems we now have is the proliferation of agencies. We have The IA for the ILR the data service for the LIS and the LAD and success rate methodology. We also have the YPLA and the SFA for funding and there is no single coherent source to tie everything together and they're all shouting about lack of fund.

    It would be nice if we had one single website with a clear list of all available documents.
