Survey for the 2008/09 final collection date
March 12, 2009 in The information authority Blog by Paul
The information authority board has asked us to consult on bringing forward the F05 final collection date. We would be grateful if college staff would complete our survey at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=R781nDR_2bcgGe2lTnySvdBg_3d_3d
We are trying to establish what issues, risks (and their mitigations) may exist for providers by making the close date of the 2008/09 ILR F05 15 January 2010.
Benefits of bringing forward F05
- Meets LSC and DIUS timetable for allocations
- LSC can publish success rates and the Statistical First Release earlier
- LSC will be able to calculate the levels of performance which are used to inform decisions about future contracting
- A ‘hard close’ leads to consistent MI being used by all stakeholders in the FE system
Risks
- Potentially compromised data quality as a result of partial data being returned by providers
- Inaccurate reporting of achievements due to the lag / turnaround times of (some) awarding bodies and the nature of the course itself
