So near and yet so far…

Hello feconnecters
Now that half term is out of the way, we are hurtling to the end of the academic year and looking to 2011/12…and scarily 2012/13 (don’t panic – only for change requests)
At the information authority, this is usually when you see us at conferences and events across the country. We will be at:
- North West CMIS on 10 June at Hopwood Hall College, Rochdale
- Summer College Data Conference on 16 June at Morley College, London
- AoC Information, Data and Technology Conference on 21 June at Holywell Park, Loughborough.
If you are there, do stop and say hello as we enjoy seeing you.
Of course this is also when we have our board meeting (15 June) and facilitate our advisory groups. The upcoming ones are Adult Safeguarded Learning on 9 June, Software Suppliers on 13 June and Employer Responsive on 16 June.
We recently published information on the table of changes to the ILR Specification 2011/12 which gives an early indication as to which fields within the ILR return should be investigated by providers in preparation for the first ILR return of 2011/12.
We are working on the provider support manuals for 2011/12 which will be available next week. Several providers commented on the draft version and I think we’ve managed to take most of your recommendations on board. Obviously a carefully crafted segue way there as I wanted to remind to you complete our website survey – remember that we can only do better if you tell us how!
In case you are wondering how I managed to write a whole blog without referring to the single ILR, here it comes…we recently published the 2011/12 ILR collections timetable which is available to view in Appendix A of the 2011/12 ILR Specification. On behalf of the Data Service , we recently informed software writers and own software writers about the availability of a LIS beta for testing, as well as updating you on the ILR Documentation Known Issues which we aim to update regularly. The Data Service also published draft LARA table relationships for 2011/12.
Hope you have a good week!
